Beaches - Mali Losinj
Veli Žal
The Island of Losinj is surrounded by a well indented coast with many pebbly beaches, and of the most beautiful, Veli Žal, is located in the bay of Sunčana Uvala (Sunny Bay). The beach is pebbly with a nice entrance to the sea which is great for families with small kids. A part of the beach is paved so here you can place your deckchairs and enjoy sunbathing. The beach is awarded with a Blue flag because of its qualities and clean sea and there are also lifeguards on the beach.
Above the beach, there is a promenade leading to the shade of thick pine crowns and to the hotel where many guests stay. Many sport activities are available on the beach, therefore your stay will be more interesting.

Borik
The island of Lošinj is surrounded by a rugged coastline with many pebbly beaches, one of them, located in Sunčana Uvala, is beach Borik. The beach is pebbly with easy access to the sea, which is great for families with children.

Čikat
The bay of Čikat, which is partly responsible for development of tourism on Losinj, is located on Mali Lošinj, in a beautiful surrounding of rich vegetation. Along the coast there is this beautiful and long sandy beach. There is also a beach with rocks and a pebbly beach beneath the camp. In the bay of Čikat hotels have been recently renovated, as well as a famous camping site, where many fun activities are offered.
Above the beach there are many accommodation structures, which are hidden in the thick pine forest. The beaches in the bay of Čikat are an ideal choice for those with a sporting spirit, as well as for who loves comfort in a perfect natural environment.

Valdarke
Pine trees are here bent over the edge of the track, as if they grew just from the sea. At the bottom of the bay old olive trees are hidden and protected, just a very few of them survived the overcoming of pine forest. Holiday homes and modern boats represent present time, while fishing boats and vessels are the mirror of the past. It looks like time has stopped in this bay, whose walkway will lead you to the open sea and to the view of the islands of Cres, Rab, Pag, Oruda and Palacol.

Kadin
Mali Lošinj is the biggest settlement on the island of Lošinj, situated in the Augusta bay which is the biggest closed bay of the island. Mali Lošinj is surrounded by the island's most beautiful coves and beaches. Kadin Beach is located at the entrance to the town of Mali Lošinj. It is suitable for those who prefer open and very clear water. The beach is mostly rocky, with some paved surfaces.

Bojčić and St. Martin
Mali Lošinj is the biggest settlement on the island, found on the southern side of the Bay of Lošinj, which thanks to this position has become a very important maritime and commercial centre, and today, also an important tourist destination. Mali Lošinj dates back to the 12th century when twelve Croatian families settled in the eastern bay St. Martin. Today St. Martin is a fishing bay, close to the small pebbly beach Bojčić.

Silver Bay
In the Silver Bay there is the Hotel Kredo and its camping site, offering a variety of sports and entertainments. The camp is situated by the sea and sheltered by pine trees and offers a pleasant stay. Beach bar Kredo, in the heart of the beach, with pleasant music and magnificent view, is the ideal place if you want to relax, tasting a great variety of drinks, cocktails and ice-creams. The Golden Bay is protected from all winds except the north-west ones. Its old name is Slatina, which means salt pond, because it was once flooded by the sea.

Cape Madonna
The beach at Cape Madonna is located near the votive church of Annunciation (Madonna Annunziata), built in 1534 and extended in 1858. The church stands on the cliff and listens to the sighs of sailors and captains who came here to welcome and look for their beloved, while a nearby lighthouse called for a new voyage.

Beaches Accepting Dogs
On the island of Lošinju several beaches accept dogs. In Mali Lošinj one of them is located on the coast between Veli Žal and Cape Madona. Another beach accepting dogs is situated close to the beach of Bojčić, in Veli Lošinj after the port of Rovenska. All these beaches are provided with the special sign „Dogs Allowed“.
